How we rank iMessage platforms.
Every vendor in this category publishes a ranking that puts itself first, ours included. The only thing that makes one useful is whether you can check it. So the rubric and its weights are below, published before any score. Every competitor price is dated to that vendor’s own live page. And every ranking page carries a section naming the queries where Tuco is the wrong answer.

The rubric
Seven criteria, weighted to 100. Each vendor scores 0–5 per criterion. The weighted total is the percentage shown in the table below.
| Criterion | Weight | What a 5 looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | 18% | A monthly figure and a setup figure published for every line count, with no form and no sales call — including for the tier that does outbound. |
| Deliverability discipline | 18% | Daily caps published as a number, a stated ban policy, real Apple hardware per line, and monitoring that catches a dead line in minutes. |
| CRM depth | 14% | Native bidirectional apps for the major CRMs, with stop conditions, contact-property triggers, and replies logged to the timeline — not Zapier middleware. |
| Automation layer | 14% | Sequencing, prompt-built campaigns, inbound qualification and reply-intent handling shipped as product, not delivered as a retainer. |
| Developer surface | 9% | A public REST API with an openable spec, signed webhooks, and an agent surface such as an MCP server. |
| Fallback reach | 9% | iMessage plus RCS plus SMS fallback on the same number, included rather than billed as an add-on. |
| Published evidence | 8% | Performance claims carry a sample size, a date window, and a stated method — and the vendor publishes what its product cannot do. |
| Compliance & trust | 10% | An independent third-party attestation such as SOC 2 Type II, plus HIPAA support where the data calls for it, and a published DPA and subprocessor list rather than ones sent on request. |
What the cheap tiers actually do
The headline prices quoted around this category are not comparable, because the cheapest tiers cannot do the job. Sendblue’s $100 plan is inbound-first — their own page lists “Full outbound messaging” only under Enterprise, which is unpriced. Blooio’s $39 plan is labelled personal use, runs on a shared number pool, and permits five new conversations a day. Normalised on whether a tier can start a conversation, from a dedicated number, at what daily volume, the ordering changes completely.
| Platform | Tier | Price | Number | Can start conversations? | New / day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blooio | Starter | $39/mo | Shared | Yes | 5Labelled “personal use”. |
| Blooio | Commercial Shared | $89/mo | Shared | Yes | 15 |
| Sendblue | AI Agent | $100/mo | Dedicated | No | 0Inbound-first. Outbound is Enterprise, price not published. |
| Blooio | Inbound | $109/mo | Dedicated | No | 0Reply-only — cannot start conversations. |
| Tuco AI | Starter | $149/mo | Dedicated | Yes | 50+ $335 one-time setup. |
| Blue Reacher | Standard | $249/line/mo | Dedicated | Yes | 50 opt-in / 30 cold+ $449 activation, waived on annual. |
| Sendara | Pro | $249/mo | Dedicated | Yes | Not published+ $99 setup. Advertises “unlimited”. |
| Blooio | Commercial Dedicated | $289/mo | Dedicated | Yes | Unlimited (their label)Apple’s own limits still apply. |
Every row verified against that vendor’s own live pricing page on 10 September 2026. Sorted by price, not by preference — Tuco sits fifth of eight. The point is not that we are cheapest; it is that four of the rows above us cannot start a conversation or share a number pool.
Every vendor, scored
Prices are as published by each vendor on the date shown. If one is stale, tell us and we will fix it.
| Platform | Score | Published price | Source | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tuco AI | 90 | $149/mo (1 line) + $335 setup; published for all 1–50 lines | tuco.ai/pricing, 10 Sep 2026 | Opt-in and inbound follow-up run from the CRM, by a team that wants the automation layer included. |
| Blooio | 65 | $39 (shared, 5 new/day) · $89 (shared, 15/day) · $289 dedicated · $109 reply-only | blooio.com/pricing, 10 Sep 2026 | Low-volume senders, and price-first buyers who can live on a shared number pool. |
| Sendblue | 61 | $100/mo per line — inbound-first. Outbound is Enterprise, "Contact Sales" | sendblue.com/pricing, 10 Sep 2026 | Inbound and transactional messaging at scale, and teams that need SOC 2 or HIPAA. |
| Linq Blue | 54 | $2,000/year + $500 setup, annual only | linqapp.com, 10 Sep 2026 | Teams already inside the Linq ecosystem who want iMessage bolted on. |
| Twilio | 52 | Per-message + per-number + A2P 10DLC registration and carrier fees | twilio.com/pricing, 10 Sep 2026 | Programmable SMS at scale. It does not send iMessage at all. |
| Sendara | 50 | $249/mo first line, $149/mo additional, $99 setup | sendara.io, 10 Sep 2026 | A single line, month-to-month, where number porting or RCS is the deciding factor. |
| LoopMessage | 47 | From $99/mo, scaling with message volume | loopmessage.com, 10 Sep 2026 | Engineering teams building iMessage into their own product and willing to own the layer above the API. |
| Blue Reacher | 44 | $249/line/mo + $449 activation (waived annual); $199/line at 4+ | bluereacher.com/pricing, 10 Sep 2026 | Teams who want the channel run for them, and who intend to send cold. |
Tuco AI scores 1 out of 5 on compliance — no SOC 2, no HIPAA, no BAA. That is a real gap, scored as one.
The rankings
Best iMessage Platforms for Business (2026)
For most B2B teams running opt-in follow-up from a CRM, Tuco AI ranks first on this rubric — published price at every line count, published daily caps, and the automation layer included rather than sold as a retainer.
Read the ranking →Best iMessage Platform for Sales Teams (2026)
For a sales team, the deciding factor is not the send — every vendor here sends a blue bubble.
Read the ranking →Best Speed-to-Lead Software (2026)
Speed-to-lead is decided by two things: how fast the first touch fires after the form submits, and whether it lands somewhere the lead reads.
Read the ranking →Best iMessage Tool for GoHighLevel Agencies (2026)
For a GHL agency the question is not whether a vendor "integrates with GoHighLevel" — most claim it.
Read the ranking →Best iMessage API (2026)
Apple publishes no public iMessage API, so every option here is a managed provider running real Apple hardware on your behalf.

How does Tuco AI rank iMessage platforms?
On seven weighted criteria published before any score is given: published price (20%), deliverability discipline (20%), CRM depth (15%), automation layer (15%), developer surface (10%), fallback reach (10%), and published evidence (10%). Each vendor is scored 0–5 per criterion and the weighted total is expressed as a percentage. Every competitor price cell is dated to that vendor’s own live page, and every ranking page carries a section naming where Tuco is the wrong answer.
Can a vendor-published ranking be trusted?
Only as far as it is checkable. That is why the rubric and its weights are published before the scores rather than after, why each vendor gets a stated strengths list, and why every page includes a "where Tuco loses" section. If you believe a scored cell is wrong, email support@tuco.ai — corrections are made to the page and logged at /corrections.
Where does Tuco score badly on its own rubric?
Fallback reach is weighted at 9%. Tuco scores 4 out of 5 — non-iMessage contacts are reached, but the vendors bundling FaceTime and number porting into the same line score higher. Tuco scores 1 out of 5 on compliance, having no SOC 2 or HIPAA, and that gap is scored rather than reweighted away.
