Why Teams Switch

Real reasons from teams that evaluated Blue Reacher and chose Tuco AI.

🛠

We build your integration. Full implementation support included — CRM setup, workflow config, ongoing Apple ID management.

💻

Real Apple hardware. Dedicated Mac Mini per customer with failover. Not emulators. Not shared VMs.

🌍

One number. Globally. No A2P registration. No country-specific sender IDs. One iMessage identity, everywhere.

📈

5-10% reply rates. From leads that ghosted email and LinkedIn. 25% of those replies were positive.

$100 less per line, every month

Blue Reacher is $249 per line per month with a $449 activation fee. Tuco Starter is $149 with a $335 setup. On monthly billing that is $3,437 versus $2,123 in year one — $1,314 in your pocket for the same physical thing: a real iPhone with a real eSIM sending real blue bubbles.

“Unlimited” is a label on the same 50-a-day ceiling

Blue Reacher advertises unlimited iMessages, then paces every line at 50 opted-in or 30 cold new contacts a day. Tuco publishes 50 new contacts and roughly 150 total messages per line per day. The ceiling is Apple’s, not the vendor’s — the difference is that one of us prints it on the pricing page instead of the footnotes.

We do not sell cold outbound, and that is deliberate

Blue Reacher’s core pitch is cold outbound at volume. Tuco is opt-in and inbound only: form fills, ads, webinars, existing customers. Apple treats spam as a switch, not a score — roughly three Report Junk taps can kill a number permanently. Selling cold volume on a channel that bans for it transfers that risk to you.

Reply rates with a dataset attached

Blue Reacher publishes a 30–45% iMessage reply rate. Tuco publishes 5–10% on opt-in lists, 25% positive intent, across 100+ analysed B2B campaigns, with delivery and open rates alongside. If a vendor quotes you a number 4x higher than ours, ask which campaigns it came from.

You can buy it without booking a call

Blue Reacher has no self-serve tier by design — every line is provisioned by their team. Tuco publishes the price for all 1–50 lines, lets you configure and check out online, and ships docs, a REST API, an MCP server, and a Chrome extension for teams who would rather read than meet.

The AI layer is product, not a retainer

Blue Reacher writes your sequences as a service. Tuco ships a prompt-to-sequence campaign builder, an AI SDR that qualifies inbound replies against your knowledge base, and reply-intent classification — so the workflow keeps running when the engagement ends.

FAQ

Questions. Answered.

Blue Reacher’s comparison page says Tuco’s pricing is inconsistent — $59, $149, $299. Is that true?

It is out of date. $59 was a legacy line price removed from tuco.ai in early 2026 — it survives only in an old redirect rule. The current published pricing is Starter $149/month for one line, Growth $299/month for two, and a one-time setup starting at $335 that scales with line count. The /pricing page publishes the exact monthly and setup figure for every line count from 1 to 50, which is more granular than the three price points Blue Reacher publishes.

Their page says Tuco has no included fallback path. Does Tuco do SMS fallback?

Yes. Tuco detects a non-iMessage recipient and falls back to SMS through Twilio or your GoHighLevel connection, with separate fallback copy per step because SMS cannot carry rich attachments. It is documented on the FAQ and on every integration page. Fallback copy can be set per sequence step, because SMS cannot carry rich attachments.

Which one is actually cheaper?

Tuco, at every line count. Monthly: $149 versus $249 for one line, $299 versus $498 for two, $1,400 versus $1,990 for ten. First year on monthly billing is $2,123 versus $3,437. On annual billing the gap narrows because Blue Reacher waives its $449 activation — $1,765 versus $1,949 — but Tuco is still cheaper, and Blue Reacher’s own comparison page concedes it.

What does Blue Reacher genuinely do better?

Two things, and they matter. FaceTime audio, available as a $99/line/month add-on, which Tuco has on the roadmap but not live. And a done-for-you implementation included in the subscription — funnel mapping, workflow build, sequence copy. If nobody on your team will own the channel, that inclusion is worth real money, and Tuco does not match it.

Neither of you has third-party reviews. Why should I believe either?

You should not take either vendor’s word for it. Blue Reacher states on its own comparison page that it has no reviews published on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, or Product Hunt. Tuco is in the same position. What Tuco offers instead is checkable: named customer stories with video at /customers, a full limits page at /limitations that lists everything the product cannot do, and a benchmarks page at /imessage-benchmarks with the dataset behind every figure. Ask both vendors for three references in your vertical.

Does Tuco allow the cold outbound Blue Reacher is built for?

No. Tuco is for opt-in and inbound leads only — people who gave you their number through a form, an ad, a webinar, or an existing relationship. Cold-blasting purchased or scraped lists gets lines reported and banned. If cold outbound to bought lists is the plan, Blue Reacher is built for it and Tuco is not; go in knowing that Apple bans for spam reports regardless of which vendor sold you the line.

Can I switch from Blue Reacher to Tuco?

Yes. Export your contacts and sequences, and Tuco provisions a dedicated line on a real iPhone with a fresh carrier eSIM. Budget 48 hours minimum for the carrier to activate the eSIM — that is on AT&T’s clock and no vendor can shorten it. CRM reconnection for HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, and Pipedrive is OAuth, and webhook payloads map across. Most switches finish inside three days end to end.

Is either one SOC 2 certified or HIPAA compliant?

Neither. Blue Reacher states plainly on its trust page that it has no independent SOC 2 attestation. Tuco states on /limitations that it is not HIPAA or SOC 2 certified and offers no BAA. Do not put protected health information through either platform. Both publish a DPA.
