# Send iMessages from Email — Introducing the Tuco Email Bridge

What if you could send an iMessage to any phone number just by sending an email?

Now you can.

## How It Works

1. Open Gmail, Outlook, or any email client
2. Set the **To** field to `+19042956129@send.tuco.ai`
3. Write your message in the email body
4. Hit Send

That's it. Tuco receives your email, sends the message as an iMessage through your active line, and emails you a confirmation.

## Why We Built This

Not everyone wants to log into a dashboard or write API code. Sales reps on the go need to fire off a quick follow-up. Customer success teams want to reach a client without switching apps. The Email Bridge lets anyone on your team send iMessages from the tool they already live in — email.

## Email Formats

**Basic** — uses your first available line:
```
To: +19042956129@send.tuco.ai
```

**Specific line** — choose which number to send from:
```
To: +19042956129-line_abc123@send.tuco.ai
```

Find your line ID on the Lines page in the Tuco dashboard.

## Security

Your email address must be registered in Tuco. We don't rely solely on SPF/DKIM — we look up your email in our user database to verify you're authorized to use the bridge. Unauthorized senders get a bounce email explaining they need to register first.

## Error Handling

If something goes wrong, you get a clear bounce email:

- **Invalid phone number** — check the E.164 format (+country code + number)
- **Not authorized** — your email isn't registered in Tuco
- **No active lines** — set up a line at app.tuco.ai/lines/purchase
- **Send failed** — the recipient may not have iMessage

## Getting Started

1. Make sure your email is registered in your Tuco workspace
2. Have at least one active iMessage line
3. Send an email to `+phone@send.tuco.ai`

No configuration needed. No DNS changes required for users — the bridge is already live.
